Year 209X AD: the main computer of the Central Intelligence Agency Control Center suddenly goes berserk, and Tokyo city is a terrifying concrete jungle where frenetic security robots attack people. The government has dispatched a special combat team to restore the control center's functions.
Ray-Thunder is a shoot'em up game in which the player evolves in a 3-dimensionnal labyrinth. Once they've selected their robot amongst three different ones, they get into the maze from which they can escape if they destroy all enemies along the road. Thanks to the map, the localization feature allows players to find enemies and see where they are. Beside that, it is important to seek for gas (that permits one to move) and health items. That Japan-only release also includes a two-player mode.
